Alternative Gift Fair
How it works: as you walk into the fair, you are handed a -shopping list-. The list includes alternative gifts, such as an overnight stay at the Ronald McDonald House for families and children suffering from cancer, or books and toys for inner-city children in Nashville. More than 20 Nashville and international non-profits attend the Alternative Gift Fair, including Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Preston Taylor Ministries, and the Nashville Humane Association.
Each organization hosts a table representing their national and international charities; these representatives give gift cards and information to those who provide a gift to their table. The alternative gifts range from $5 to $50 and are tax deductible. We will be able to take any credit card, check, or cash! Local musicians play while Nashvillians and Vanderbilt students, faculty, and staff shop and enjoy finger foods and warm holiday drinks provided by sponsors.
This 6th annual Alternative Gift Fair will be held on Monday, November 18th from 3-7 PM in the Student Life Center, located at 310 25th Ave S. Admission is free, and we welcome anyone and everyone to come!
Parking will be available at the 25th Avenue parking garage.
