10th Annual Murray Lecture
The Martha Rivers Ingram Commons, in partnership with the Bishop Joseph Johnson Black Cultural Center, the Department of History, and the Program in American Studies, is proud to present the 10th Annual Murray Lecture.
Linda Gordon, author and professor at New York University, will deliver this year’s lecture. The lecture will address themes found in Dr. Gordon’s book, “The Second Coming of the KKK.,” which details the unlikely rise of the KKK in the North after WWI.
What can history teach us about how hate groups rise and fall? Join the Office of the Dean of The Ingram Commons on Monday, Feb. 5 in The Commons Center MPR to find out! The lecture will begin at noon, but lunch will be provided at 11:30 a.m. preceding the lecture.
