World on Wednesdays: Spring 2014 Announcement
Greetings! We are currently seeking students, faculty, staff, and community members who may be interested in collaborating with us on our upcoming World on Wednesdays (WOW) program for Spring 2014 as presenters of diverse and international topics.
One mission of International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) is to facilitate and promote international awareness throughout the Vanderbilt community by sponsoring campus-wide events. WOW seeks to provide an educational program that expands our perceptions and prepares us to become more diverse in perspective and more globally inclusive.
Our weekly “World on Wednesdays” program is designed to educate through an expansive spectrum of interesting, new, classic, and specialized topics that relate to global affairs. We would like to extend an invitation to you and the members of our community who might be willing to share valuable knowledge and experiences. Past WOWs have included faculty and student presentations, research findings, study abroad experiences, guest speakers, Vanderbilt organizations, current issues, and special cultural occasions. Please see the attached schedule for examples of this semester’s WOWs.
If your department, organization, or any individual member would like to present at World on Wednesdays, please complete the attached proposal form and return it at your earliest convenience with a preferred presentation day.
