The deadline for CEC applications is on Monday, February 18, but we are already begun the CEC interviewing process. This is a highly competitive process and we want to make sure that all students who are interested in this position have a chance for an interview! Once you receive an interview, there will be a quick turnaround and you will know whether you have the position by Thursday, February 28. You will have a summer job locked in before Spring Break.
We are currently seeking highly motivated and personable individuals to continue the tradition of assisting with all aspects of overnight youth camps, sports camps and educational conferences held on the Vanderbilt campus. Duties include room key distribution/collection for overnight housing, and providing hospitality services to ensure that all our guests have a great Vanderbilt experience.
The Vanderbilt University Office of Conferences provides all our campus guests in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner. Our operation serves as guest relations, a liaison between campus facilities, services, and local attractions.
The Vanderbilt Office of Conferences is proud to host a diverse array of conference groups and summer youth camps right here on the Vanderbilt campus. Our summer guests include Computer Software Design Camps, Medical Center Symposiums, Teaching Seminars, Business Entrepreneurs, Programs for Talented Youth, Cheer Leading Enthusiasts, athletic camps, educational conferences and many more. We also provide accommodations for up to ten weeks to college students from around the country participating in local summer internships and medical research partake in our Summer Academic Intern Housing Program.
While participating as a Conference and Event Coordinator (CEC), you will have the opportunity to gain leadership experience, enhance problem solving skills and serve as an essential member of a dynamic team working together to successfully host conferences and camps at Vanderbilt. The 2019 conference season will run from Sunday, May 5, through Wednesday, August 7, 2019.
Benefits include on campus accommodations, $7.25 per hour salary for a 40-hour per week, paid training, and 12 meals per week.
