New to group fitness? Intimidated to go to a class? Try one of our Intro classes:
- Monday 11:30 am - 12:15 pm – Intro to Group Fitness: Learn basic step aerobics moves, yoga, Zumba and strength classes.
- Wednesday 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm – Intro to Group Fitness: Learn basics for Indoor cycling, strength classes, step, and bosu.
- Wednesday 7 pm – 8 pm- Intro to Yoga: Learn proper form for basic yoga poses

Wilderness First Aid Course
Dates: Feb. 7- 8
Location: VU Outdoor Rec. Center
Cost: General Public - $265.00
Affiliated with Vanderbilt - $245.00
Registration Deadline: Jan. 26th
Cost includes: Instruction from Wilderness Medical Associates (WMA) instructors, lunch for the two days, text books, use of group equipment, and certification exam.
This course is designed to prepare individuals who program, recreate, and enjoy the outdoors to encounter medical emergencies in a back country setting with confidence and competence. Through a combination of classroom instruction and field based exercises, participants will gain valuable experience in addressing the needs of outdoor based emergencies. Over the course of two days participants will learn: patient assessment, patient stabilization, comprehensive first aid and a variety of improvised implementation methods, as well as learn the skills necessary to implement patient evacuation.
TO REGISTER FOR THE COURSE: Stop by the Vanderbilt Outdoor Rec Center during business hours to sign up. Payment must be made in the Office of Campus Recreation located in the Rec Center on the second floor. Once you have registered, we will provide you with information regarding course specific needs and details.
