Marijke Kylstra Nashville, TN - The Nashville Food Project

This summer, I worked for eight weeks with The Nashville Food Project in Nashville, TN to expand their environmental education initiatives and increase their beekeeping capacity. The organization works to promote nutrition and community in impoverished communities and to provide healthy meals to those without access to food in Nashville. I designed and built educational signage for our community gardens and also helped build new beehives to improve the health of our gardens, as well as leading groups of volunteers regularly.
