Summer Archives
Emily SauderJacksonville, FL - Rethreaded |
This summer I did my project at Rethreaded, an organization dedicated to solving the problem of human trafficking and helping women escape from prostitution through offered employment, a critical piece in the picture that is otherwise unaddressed in the Jacksonville, FL area. My project primarily involved internal optimization through organizing and building systems designed to promote streamlined production. This included designing a more easily accessed and maintained means of raw materials storage, streamlining donations by clarifying instructions and communication, and building community partnerships along with better donor records. An additional duty that became necessary during the project was overseeing a warehouse overhaul that tracked what we had, what we needed, and what should be kept or sold as the warehouse storefront space was re-designed.
