Rachel King Kampala, Uganda - Teach Twice

Teach Twice aims to improve literacy, empower individuals and promote culture to readers everywhere by publishing children’s books written in developing countries. This summer I traveled to Africa where I spent two months collecting field research on Uganda’s education system and conducting feasibility studies on the potential for Teach Twice to grow its impact in Uganda, specifically in the Nakikungube village where Teach Twice hopes to have a larger role in educational and community development. My primary contribution was a comprehensive deliverable that included research, curriculum content, photo/video footage, and recommendations for Teach Twice to utilize as the organization moves forward in Uganda.
