The Arts Council advocates for the arts at Vanderbilt. Members of this group represent the various academic and administrative areas supporting the performing, visual, and literary arts of the university. The Arts Council provides periodic strategic recommendations to the Vice Provost of Arts & Libraries for enabling the creation, pursuit, and engagement of the arts at the university.
Objectives
- Create greater visibility and central communications for the extant arts community
- Foster new community and global partnerships
- Pursue development opportunities to build university-wide arts programming
- Investigate physical art space needs on campus and develop strategies for collaborative uses
