2011 House Organ Photography Contest Winners
Judges for this year’s House Organ Photography Contest were the Division of Public Affairs photography staff. From more than 1,200 entries, about 150 finalists were narrowed down to the extraordinary 12 images that you see in this year’s calendar.

- July: “ Chicago from the Hancock Building.” Lisa Long, Molecular Epidemiology.
- August: “Bat Building.” Jana Foster, Vanderbilt Heart and Vascular Institute.
- September: “Wilson County Fair.” Kris Heaton, Social Work.
- October: “Morning Reflections: Waterfowl at Bosque del Apache NWR, New Mexico.” John G. Benitez, Clinical Medicine (Medical Toxicology).
- November: “Abandoned Car.” Danica Partin, Allergy, Pulmonary and Critical Care.
- December: “Sting of the Cold.” Deborah Johnson, Office of Compliance and Corporate Integrity.
Honorable Mentions
This year’s House Organ Photography Contest drew so many entries that the panel of judges from the Division of Public Affairs had a difficult time narrowing the hundreds of entries down to 12 for the calendar.
