Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is a U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) nutritional assistance initiative administered at the state level. In Tennessee, SNAP is managed by the Tennessee Department of Human Services (TDHS) and administered with the belief that you can focus on work, school, and family wellness when you’re well-nourished and don’t have to worry about where your next meal will come from.

 

Guidance on “Long COVID” as a Disability Under the ADA, Section 504, and Section 1557

This guidance explains that long COVID can be a disability under Titles II and III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and provides resources for additional information and best practices for individuals who may meet the legal definition of disability.

 

Disability Information & Access Line (DIAL)

The Disability Information and Access Line (DIAL) helps people with disabilities get connected to information about local community resources that support independent living. Launched in 2021 to help disabled people access COVID-19 vaccinations, DIAL also provides information about essential services such as transportation, housing support, disability rights, and more.
