In this program, facilitated by IES Abroad, students directly enroll at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam in a course of study that includes applied and theoretical aspects of music study with electives and optional courses. All coursework is individualized to the student. Students are housed in either shared studio apartments or a residence hall. Amsterdam has plenty to offer students, from the cheese market in Alkmaar, to the Hoge Veluwe National Park, to the medieval castle Muiderslot and the Isle of Pampus. IES Abroad also offers field trips to nearby destinations throughout the semester.
PLEASE NOTE: Blair students interested in applying for this program must meet with Dean Brian Utley in Blair. There is a form in your VU study abroad application that he will need to sign prior to the VU application deadline.
