How Sharing Works in Amplify

Sharing materials that you’ve developed in Amplify, such chat conversations, custom instructions, or prompt templates, can help you more easily collaborate with colleagues. For example, sharing chat conversations can allow a user to see a full chat history and even continue a conversation that was started by another user. Other sharing functions, such as sharing Custom Instructions or Prompt Templates can be a great way to spread useful conversation starters or instructions with other Amplify users.

Sharing with Others

1. In Amplify, you can share chat conversations, prompt templates, custom instructions, and folders. Any time you want to share, look for the sharing icon, which is available in various locations, including in chats and in the main menu.

  • Share with Other Users is located in the Sharing section of the left main menu.

5. That conversation or prompt will now be shared with the user you indicated, and they can find it under the Shared with You section of the sharing menu.

Accessing Items Shared with You

1. Once someone has shared a conversation or prompt with you, you can find it under the same Shared tab of the left menu column.

2. In that Shared tab, there is a section called Shared with You. This shows any conversation or prompt that has been shared with you from another Amplify user.

3. Any item shared with you must be imported into your account before you can view it. To do that, you click on the item, then click Import on the pop-up window that appears.
