Ron is a trusted strategic advisor to his clients in a wide range of areas. He helps clients avoid legal claims by counseling them on compliance with the ever-changing employment law requirements. Ron actively partners with clients to minimize their risk and exposure by advising on topics including:
- Employment policies, practices and procedures;
- Investigation of workplace complaints;
- Leaves of absence under federal, state and local law;
- Employment contracts;
- Severance agreements;
- Wage and hour obligations;
- Accommodation requirements; and
- Labor relations/negotiations
Ron has over 15 years of experience in labor and employment law, labor relations, workplace and compliance investigations, negotiations, and litigation.
Prior to joining the Office of the General Counsel, Ron served as Chief Assistant County Counsel for the County of Yolo (California), where served as the county’s labor and employment attorney. He has also represented Fortune 500 companies in all aspects of employment related litigation at a national law firm.
Ron received his juris doctorate degree from University of California, Davis School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in Tennessee and California. When he’s not spending time with his wife and two daughters, Ron enjoys reading, golfing, and travel.
