Meaghan Jane McTigue

Assistant General Counsel

In her current role, Meaghan Jane McTigue is responsible for advising on legal matters related to Vanderbilt’s Office of Investments, including the university’s endowment. She also works extensively with Vanderbilt’s Finance team and the Development and Alumni Relations group.

Meaghan received her Juris Doctor from Marquette University Law School and her Bachelor of Science from Saint Joesph’s University. Prior to joining Vanderbilt University’s Office of the General Counsel, Meaghan served as in-house counsel at a global asset manager where she provided legal support to the firm’s suite of over 150 privately offered alternative investment vehicles, with the market value of approximately 52 billion.

Meaghan is a member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA), and the Associate of Corporate Counsel. More locally, she is a member of the Economic Club of Nashville, Women in Investment Network, and the Mid-South Alternative Investment Association.

Meaghan is admitted to practice law in Wisconsin (inactive), New York, and Tennessee.
