Status Update: Spring 2016
The start of the spring semester in 2016 kicked off the “Information Gathering” phase of the FutureVU (land use) initiative. During this time, Pelli Clarke Pelli and external consultants conducted a series of meetings on campus with various stakeholders. Over 150 faculty, staff and students were involved in these interviews.
As part of the “Information Gathering” phase, the Vanderbilt project team met with groups of staff across the university to provide an overview of the initiative, talk about campus planning history, and facilitate group discussions. Over 150 staff were a part of these discussions.
In addition, the project team visited Sarratt/Rand and the Commons Center on 4 different dates to speak with students about the initiative and obtain feedback. Over 150 students were a part of these events and sessions.
