Initiatives related to faculty development and diversity are jointly overseen by John Geer, Vice Provost for Academic and Strategic Affairs, and Melissa Thomas-Hunt, Vice Provost for Inclusive Excellence. Together, these offices promote the establishment of data-driven plans to introduce initiatives that improve faculty recruitment, development, and retention. By working in collaboration, both offices ensure they are acting as a resource to schools and departments in a manner that enhances the university and strengthens its status as a welcoming, supportive, and inclusive academic community.
