Scopes Symposium Locations

The main portion of the symposium will take place at the Carmichael College. The talks will be in the large floor Conference Center A/B/C while other events may be in the Great Room down the hall. Food will be served buffet style in the Student Life Center and participants are encouraged to eat in one of the halls or in the shaded area surrounding the building.

Carmichael College

A spacious, high-ceilinged room with dark wood paneling, arched stained-glass windows, and a large circular chandelier hanging from the ceiling. The room features a mix of modern and classic furniture, including a long wooden table, cushioned chairs, and a fireplace in the background.

Great Room

A large meeting space with rows of tables and chairs arranged for group discussions or events. The room has a neutral color palette, recessed lighting, and a ceiling-mounted projector. Wood paneling decorates the lower half of the walls.

Conference Center A/B/C

Carmichael College Hallway – A long, well-lit corridor with wooden doors and large windows. Dark wood trim and ceiling panels contrast with the lighter walls. Several chairs and small tables are positioned along the hallway for seating.

Carmichael College
