Students are strongly encouraged to complete the anonymous course and teaching evaluations administered at the conclusion of each course. Course evaluations are completed online, using a mobile-friendly software system. Students use the online software to give feedback on the areas of excellence and areas for improvement within a given course. The anonymous information, which is released to faculty after grades have been submitted, allows faculty to improve the course for future students and to develop their effectiveness as instructors. The university uses this information in such cases as faculty review for tenure, retention, promotion, and future course offerings, and appreciates students’ thoughtful evaluations for all courses.
