VPUE - Writing Studio News and Notes E-Newsletter [Vanderbilt University]

August 2024

Writing Studio News & Notes – Faculty Edition

There is plenty of summer left, and your students can book summer Writing Studio appointments through through August 9, but we know fall classes are also on everyone’s mind.

Last year the Writing Studio held nearly 4,500 writing consultations and served over 1,300 individual writers from across the university, including 15% of all undergraduates. Instructors who teach with writing were a huge part of that success last year, and we know you will be again this year.

So, as we look toward the fall semester, know that it’s never too early to reach out to the Writing Studio for Fall 2024 support.

  • It’s the perfect time to begin booking a Writing Studio visit to your classroom to share a brief overview of our services or to facilitate a 45-minute writing workshop.
  • You can book a pedagogy consultation to workshop an assignment draft, discuss teaching strategies, or ask for feedback on a syllabus.

Read on for more about how we can support your writing pedagogy!
