Dear Vanderbilt Students,
The Student Center for Social Justice and Identity (SCSJI) is thrilled to announce the upcoming Graduate Recognition Ceremonies (GRCs), dedicated to celebrating the remarkable achievements of our diverse Vanderbilt graduating Class of 2024.
This year, we are hosting five distinct ceremonies between May 8th & 9th:
- Native American & Indigenous GRC – May 8th at 9:00am CST
- Intersectional GRC (includes First Gen. Low Income, Military/Veterans, and Students with Disabilities) – May 8th at 3:00pm CST
- Asian, Pacific Islander, Desi American (APIDA) GRC – May 8th at 6:00pm CST
- International GRC May 9th at 9:00am CST
- Latinx GRC May 9th at 1:00pm CST
Please Read Before Registering
These ceremonies are open to undergraduate, graduate, and professional students who will be earning their degrees from Vanderbilt University in the designated academic year. Whether you’re graduating in Spring 2024, Summer 2024, or have already graduated in Fall 2023, you’re eligible to participate! SCSJI is so excited to celebrate your hard work.
These ceremonies do not replace the University Commencement happening on May 10th. Students who identify with more than one of the communities being celebrated, are able to register for more than one GRC, respectively.
To ensure your participation and inclusion in the printed program, registration is mandatory. Please register online before the priority deadline of Friday, April 5th, at 5:00pm (CST) to reserve a custom graduation stole.
