Trans Buddies: VUMC Program for LGBTQ Health
 The Vanderbilt University Medical Center Program for LGBTQ Health is an innovative effort to improve healthcare for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) patients, including the Trans Buddy Program. Apply to be a Trans Buddy by e-mailing lgbtq.health@vumc.org or signing-up here.
Mindfulness-Based Queer Resilience (MBQR) Research Study
 Are you an 18–34-year-old gay, bi, or queer man? Do you experience stress, anxiety, or depression? Brown University researchers have developed an online mindfulness program to improve mental and sexual health of sexual minority men. This 9-week program is tailored specifically for LGBTQI+ people and is facilitated by queer teachers. The group will meet weekly on Zoom every Thursday from: September 8th – November 10th. Eligible participants will complete pre- and post- research assessments. Compensation provided. Learn more here.
LGBTQ+ Students and Classroom Experiences Survey
You are invited to participate in a study investigating the experiences of LGBTQ+ college students who are pursuing or recently pursued college education by completing an anonymous online survey if you are at least 18 years old, identify as LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and/or another sexual/gender identity), and are enrolled or were recently enrolled (within the past five years) at least one undergraduate or graduate course at a U.S. institution of higher education. To complete this survey, please do so by September 9th, 2022. To learn more, contact PI Dr. Wiest or Zarmish Tariq.

Nashville Symphony: John Corigliano – Symphony No. 1
 GRAMMY-winner Emanuel Ax returns to the Nashville Symphony to perform the John Corigliano’s Second Piano Concerto – a work of breathtaking scope that sparkles with brilliance and intensity, showcasing soloist and orchestra alike. Corigliano composed his powerful First Symphony in the 1980s as a response to the AIDS crisis, offering a beautiful, elegiac tribute to friends and associates who succumbed to the disease. A panel precedes the event.
International Bisexuality Research Conference
 The 2nd annual International Bisexuality Research Conference is a free, daylong conference for anyone interested in learning about bisexual, pansexual, Two-Spirit, queer, fluid, polysexual, plurisexual, and unlabeled experiences, is being held virtually across multiple times zones on Sept 24. Queer History South
 Queer History South is a network of professional and community members invested in preserving and promoting LGBTQ archiving and history in the US South. Queer History South 2022: Archives for All, Y’all is a conference about the research and preservation of LGBTQ history in the US South taking place Sept. 30 – Oct. 2. Register here.
