Dear PCC Colleagues,
I enjoyed the opportunity to connect with many of you at the Dean of Students all-staff meeting and luncheon. As we move toward the University Counseling Center transition, I call your attention to the updates below:
Staff Transition
To facilitate the process, transitioning staff members have been asked to complete their I-9s and background checks. Thank you to those who have already completed this process.
Technology
PyraMED is working with VUMC Health IT on a formal extraction of student data. Some PCC staff will work to review data for accuracy as part of a quality control measure.
The attached timeline shows a visual representation of the anticipated physical modifications for the front desk renovation and technology transitions. June will be a busy month, and we appreciate your flexibility.
Collaborations
We have continued to engage in collaboration between the University and VUMC regarding processes and information sharing between the UCC and the Student Health Center.
Training
A draft training schedule has been created for June 25 – July 6 to help familiarize UCC staff with Vanderbilt University resources and collaborative endeavors. This schedule emphasizes collaboration across many units on campus. Highlights of the week include: important meetings of all mental health related staff, meetings with associate deans, diversity and inclusion offices, and tours of campus.
Website Development
A sub-committee of PCC staff members worked to revise content for the new UCC website.
A draft Student Care Network website is being finalized, and it will focus on using a wellness wheel (attached) to help students navigate the variety of health resources available to them both on and off campus.
Thank you all for your ongoing efforts and support.
Sincerely,
Mark Bandas
Associate Provost & Dean of Students
