Dear PCC Colleagues,

Please see the below for the most recent updates to the PCC to UCC transition.

The Office of Student Care Coordination

• Received input from faculty, staff, and students on the official name: Office of Student Care Coordination
• To be housed in Sarratt and provide care management services, assist with intake for the Student Care Network, and coordinate referrals
• To be staffed with Care Coordinators, the name we will use in place of case managers

Student Communication

• VU briefed the Graduate Student Council on the record migration process.
• VU explained that to stand up the UCC we will need to move students’ records from the PCC to UCC (to be stored in the new EMR system, PyraMED). We are still working on the exact process, but we notified the GSC to be mindful of emails and notifications so they take the appropriate steps to support the migration.

Technology & Information Systems

• Met with VUMC colleagues and gathered specific details about computer and tablet inventories at PCC to ensure computer/tablet needs are met in the UCC
• VUIT scheduled a kick-off meeting for the PyraMED implementation team on 2/14. PCC representatives: Melissa Porter, Brian Pollock, Adriana Kipper-Smith
  • Part of this process will include learning which forms can be completed electronically by students in the new PyraMED system
• WellTrack pilot launched with 12 students. A total of 9 PCC providers are participating in the pilot.

Websites

• To keep the Vanderbilt community updated on the PCC to UCC transition, a Transition Website has been created. It is accessible here: https://www.vanderbilt.edu/ucc/
• A PCC subcommittee has been formed to work on the future UCC website

Long Term planning

• PCC staff are developing proposal for recommended committee structures in future UCC
• Vanderbilt University Real Estate is meeting with PCC staff members to examine ways to renovate the front desk area of the PCC/UCC
