Madelyn Kloske, Language Teaching Specialist

smiling woman with long brown hairMadelyn Kloske, originally from Huntsville, AL, has an M.A. in TESOL/Applied Linguistics from The University of Alabama.  Prior, she completed her B.A. in Linguistics and Spanish with a certificate in TESL from the University of Florida.  From 2023-2024, she spent her year as a Fulbright scholar teaching English in Tenerife of the Canary Islands, Spain.  Madelyn has been enthusiastic about the English language and language learning since a very young age and began to hone her interests of second language acquisition and bilingualism during her coursework and research involvement at UF.  Her master’s thesis focused on pragmatic competence and discourse marker instruction, and she has been involved as a community ESL instructor for Hispanic adults.  A former nationally competitive and NCAA Division I rower, Madelyn is fiercely competitive as a language learner (currently with a 1100-day Duolingo streak) a cyclist, and a Taylor Swift fan.
