Library Digital Projects Support Committee

The committee is charged with the following:

  • Discuss and recommend digitization projects for consideration
  • Develop recommendations for standards, consistency, and interoperability of digital assets and metadata
  • Recommend and report on digital preservation best practices, available tools, and developments
  • Develop recommendations on how to make our existing digital projects more visible to researchers, faculty, students and the broader community
  • Identify and recommend staff with appropriate skills for specific projects
  • Identify and recommend specific training needs to increase our support for digital projects
  • Develop further recommendations on how the committee can best support staffing being put into place to directly support digital scholarship

  • Carla Beals, media and outreach coordinator, assessment, communication, and engagement, Jean and Alexander Heard Library;
  • Mary Anne Caton, consultant for educational and interpretative programs, assessment, communication, and engagement, Jean and Alexander Heard Library;
  • Lindsay Fox, coordinator of geographic information systems, research and learning, Jean and Alexander Heard Library;
  • Chris Ryland, associate director for special collections, biomedical library, Jean and Alexander Heard Library;
  • Jake Schaub, music cataloguer, cataloging services, Jean and Alexander Heard Library;
  • Kathy Smith, associate university archivist, special collections and university archives, Jean and Alexander Heard Library;
  • Celia Walker, director of assessment, communication and engagement, Jean and Alexander Heard Library.
