Race, Gender, and Technology Working Group
Alternate Fridays, 1:00-2:00 pm, Center forDigital Humanities (344 Buttrick)
The Race, Gender, and Technology Working Group will meet every other week at the Center for Digital Humanities on Fridays at 1 p.m., starting January 25, 2019. The purpose of the group is to engage members in key conversations regarding race, gender, and sexuality in the study and production of digital humanities. We will focus on topics such as race and video games, feminist approaches to digital humanities, and gender in virtual reality. This group is open to all who are interested in contributing to conversations in these intersecting areas. For each meeting, we’ll read a short piece and discuss it and its relevance to our own scholarly projects.
