Roundtable discussion, “Architecture and Environment Research in the Digital Age”
Lisa Reilly, School of Architecture, University of Virginia
Scholars and teachers who deal with the built and ‘natural’ environments now have at their disposal a variety of means for understanding how spaces are designed and built, used, and filled with sound. This roundtable with guest scholar Prof. Lisa Reilly will provide an opportunity for interdisciplinary discussion of new technological means for studying architecture, landscape, and the environment.
Visiting scholar Lisa Reilly is Associate Professor of Architectural History and former resident Fellow at theInstitute for Advanced Technology in the Humanities at the University of Virginia. Her current research uses digital analysis to investigate the medieval architectural design process, and she has incorporated digital humanities into her teaching since leading a faculty investigation of digital humanities tools for the undergraduate curriculum in 2012.
