On April 16th, participants from Curb Center Creative Writing Fellow Anne Charlton’s writing workshop groups attended a multimedia expression night called Tell Me a Story. Throughout the night, participants moved among stations in the Curb Center workshop space and dabbled in various art forms to tell their stories. They could write prose, poems, and songs, paint a canvas, decorate a journal or coffee mug, write a greeting card, or contribute to collaborative writing activities. They also took turns trying on props in the photo booth and enjoyed snacks and music. The night marked the end of a great year of community-building through artistic ways of storytelling.
The Express Yourself Writing Workshops are offered in partnership with the Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center and the Curb Center, facilitated by the Curb Center’s Creative Writing Fellow.
