As a student in the School for Science and Math at Vanderbilt, I pledge to uphold the principles of integrity, mutual respect, and responsibility. In embodying integrity, I understand that lying, cheating, or plagiarizing (representing someone else’s work or ideas as my own) is against the ideals of the School for Science and Math at Vanderbilt and Vanderbilt University and will not be tolerated. In pursuing the standard of mutual respect, I will approach interactions with classmates, faculty, and guests at the School for Science and Math at Vanderbilt and in Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools as opportunities for intellectual growth and character development. Therefore, I agree to promote an environment of respectful communication and conduct. I understand that I am accountable for my work as well as my role and contribution in group projects with my peers. Finally, I recognize that it is not only my responsibility to uphold the principles of integrity and mutual respect at the School for Science and Math at Vanderbilt, but that it is also my responsibility to embody these ideals during external collaborations and endeavors as well.

I hereby pledge to uphold the principles of integrity, mutual respect, and responsibility as a student at the School for Science and Math at Vanderbilt. I understand that violation of this honor code will result in sanctions determined by the faculty and/or the director of the School for Science and Math at Vanderbilt.
