Chazin Receives Armstrong Mentoring Award

Congratulations to CSB Director Walter Chazin on receiving the 2020 Richard Armstrong Mentoring Award from the Department of Biochemistry at Vanderbilt University! Walter was selected to honor his outstanding and tireless leadership and dedication to mentoring undergraduate, graduate and postdoctoral students at Vanderbilt for more than 20 years.

The Armstrong Mentoring Award comes with a $2,500 cash prize and a commemorative plaque. The award ceremony/presentation will follow the format of those for the previous awardees, Neil Osheroff (2018) and Fred Guengerich (2019), and is tentatively scheduled for September 11 as part of the Frontiers in Biochemistry seminar series.
