    The Center for Cognitive Medicine provides free memory screenings as well as resources related to Alzheimer’s and Dementia.

    Fifty Forwardprovides enrichment opportunities for adults 50 and older in Davidson and Williamson counties to remain engaged in living their lives to the fullest. 

  • Nashville Parks and Recreation

    Nashville Parks and Recreation Senior Recreation Program provides services and activities specifically designed for those who are 55 years of age and older.  

  • Senior Directory Nashville

    Senior Directory Nashville provides up-to-date information on senior housing, home care, and over 70 categories of services throughout the United States.

    Takacs McGinnis Elder Care Law helps families respond to the legal, financial, and personal challenges presented by long life, illness and disability.

    Tennessee 2-1-1 serves as a statewide community health and human services referral line. 

  • Tennessee Commission on Aging and Disability

    Tennessee Commission on Aging and Disability is the designated state agency on aging and is mandated to provide leadership relative to aging issues on behalf of older persons in the state.

  • Vanderbilt Work-Life Connections - EAP

    Vanderbilt Work-Life Connections - EAP is available to Vanderbilt staff including full-time, part-time and TempForce employees and their spouses. 

  • Alive Hospice’s

    Alive Hospice’s Grief Center offers a place of comfort for anyone facing a loss. Support is available to caregivers and families coping with a life-limiting illness as well as children and adults who are bereaved. 

Transportation Resources

  • Senior Ride Nashville

    Senior Ride Nashville is an affordable, assisted ride service that pairs a senior who needs a ride with a volunteer who can give one. 

  • GoGo Grandparent

    GoGo Grandparent turns on-demand transportation companies like Lyft into services that help families take better care of older adults. 

  • Metropolitan Social Services

    Metropolitan Social Services provides transportation to certain area nutrition sites in Davidson County. Call 615-862-8840. 

  • Mid-Cumberland Human Resource Agency

    Mid-Cumberland Human Resource Agency provides curb-to-curb transportation in the 12 counties surrounding Davidson County on weekdays. Reservations are requested 24 hours in advance for local trips and 72 hours in advance for out-of-county trips. 

  • Nashville MTA Access Ride

    Nashville MTA Access Ride operates specialized van services for persons with disabilities who are unable to use regular fixed-route buses. Access provides door-to-door paratransit service within Davidson County, excluding commuter or express service.
