There’s no single best way to get started and you don’t need to have prior experience to excel in these career paths. A great way to begin is by looking for opportunities to get involved and develop relevant skills. For example, check out student organizations, on-campus research opportunities and skill building platforms.

  • How Can I Stand Out?

For technical roles, employers like to see relevant experiences and skills. While prior internships are helpful, if you’re just beginning, enhance your resume by adding notable courses, student organization involvement, and technical skills (even introductory knowledge). Networking with alumni and industry professionals is also a beneficial way to learn more about career paths and potentially receive referrals which can lead to interview opportunities.
