These videos are based on our workshop series held with the Institute for the Advancement of Higher Education (AdvancED). Whether you can’t make it to one of our workshops, or just need a refresher course, we’ve made as many resources as possible available online, and will continue adding more.

Generative AI’s Impact on Teaching and Learning

This is a recording of a workshop that was conducted on September 20, 2023. During this workshop we explain the basics of how generative AI tools like ChatGPT work, identify opportunities for using these tools in the teaching and learning process, and formulate plans to discuss AI usage with students. Tools for Creating Videos Workshop

Introduction to Brightspace: Part I

In this video workshop, we will log in to Brightspace and get to know all of the features and capabilities on the main landing page. This includes how to find and pin your courses, how to change your course image, and how to navigate to different tools and resources from the main page.

 

Introduction to Brightspace: Part II

In this video workshop, we will go into a course and explore the Content tab. Content is where you will post all of your readings, assignments, instructions, and other materials you want to share with students. We will explore how to add files and documents, set due dates and descriptions, and manage the many options available on the Content page.

 

Setting up the Gradebook

In this video workshop, you will get an overview of how the gradebook works in Brightspace.
