Fall 2010 courses will be made available by July 1, 2010. Course instructors are asked to contact their local OAK Tier 1+ support provider if they would like access before that date.
Jun. 17, 2010—The implementation of the new student registration system caused a delay in creating Fall 2010 courses in OAK. MIS has been working to connect the new system to OAK and hopes to have these courses (and instructor assignments) in OAK as quickly as possible, followed soon after by student enrollments.
ePassword Change Deadline June 15, 2010
Mar. 17, 2010—In order to enhance security and comply with federal audit requirements, Vanderbilt plans to implement a mandatory annual ePassword change process by June 15, 2010. To change your ePassword, please go to www.vanderbilt.edu/passwordchange and follow the instructions. We encourage you to change your password right away and not wait for the June 15 deadline.
Upgrading OAK to Blackboard Learn 9
Jan. 20, 2010—We will be upgrading to Blackboard Learn 9 Course Delivery in June 2010. In the coming months, there will be video and face-to-face tutorials to provide training, as well as a published timeline of activities. Please expect an extended outage for this event. Digital Drop Box Being Phased Out (extended available through 03/12/10)
Jan. 4, 2010—OAK will be undergoing an upgrade in the summer of 2010; this upgrade will no longer have the “Digital Dropbox” tool. The Digital Dropbox has had many issues since Vanderbilt adopted Blackboard and Blackboard’s response was to create a new tool with additional features. Vanderbilt’s current version of Blackboard has this new tool in place....
