Kang, Sun, and Yao at ENAR 2024
ENAR 2024 is taking place in Baltimore this week, and participants from Vanderbilt Biostatistics have included the following:
- PhD student Lydia Yao chaired an invited session, “Knowledge Synthesis Between Psychometric and Neuroimaging Methods: Network Modeling, Latent Factors and More”
- PhD candidate Kaidi Kang presented a talk, “Study Features that Improve Replicability of Brain-Wide Association Studies.” The study’s co-authors include PhD students Jiangmei Xiong and Megan Jones.
- PhD candidate Tianyi Sun chaired a contributed paper session, “Advances in High Dimensional Data.”
Alumni at the conference included Sarah Lotspeich (PhD 2021), who not only organized/chaired sessions and presented talks but also drummed up interest in ENAR’s new Affinity Groups as a member of the IDEA Committee. View the slides from the kickoff for more information and access to the interest form. Groups proposed thus far include: (1) American-born Asian Americans, (2) collaborative statisticians, (3) first-generation students, (4) international students, (5) LGBTQIA+, (6) statisticians with disabilities, (7) statisticians with non-traditional career paths, and (8) women of ENAR.
