Hi, my name is Ying. I am from China. I got my bachelor’s degree in Biology in 2015 and I am currently working on the MS track in Biostatistics and the PhD track in Human Genetics here at Vanderbilt. I got interested in doing a MS in Biostatistics during my 2nd year in graduate school since my research project involves building statistical frameworks to better understand the genetics of human psychiatric diseases. The formal training in statistical principles and computing skills here helps me better learn from the complex biomedical data in my research work. In my spare time, I enjoy running, indoor cycling, painting and exploring new or exotic restaurants around town.
