Congratulations to our May graduates
We are thrilled to celebrate the graduations of Nate Dowd, Kenneth Liao, Cara Lwin, and Nick Micheletti, as well as welcoming back several recent graduates who will also march in Friday’s Commencement ceremony. Here are details about our four newest Masters of Science in Biostatistics – click their names for more information and to read their thesis abstracts (when available; theses will be viewable at Vanderbilt’s Institutional Repository later this year).
Nate Dowd, MS, completed a thesis titled “Strategies and Considerations for Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) Regression Modeling” with advisor Andrew Spieker.
Kenneth Liao, MS, completed a thesis titled “Deriving Confidence Sets for Effect Sizes Using Simultaneous Confidence Intervals” with advisor Simon Vandekar.
Cara Lwin, MS, completed a thesis titled “Bayesian Survival Analysis Using Data from Electronic Health Records: A Study on Cardiovascular Outcomes Leveraging Information from Randomized Clinical Trials” with advisor Amber Hackstadt.
Nick Micheletti, MS, completed a thesis titled “The Second Generation Acceptability Curve: A Novel Visualization Approach to Cost-Effectiveness Analysis” with advisor Andrew Spieker.
