Neurodiversity Reading List

Members of the Vanderbilt Autism & Neurodiversity Alliance got together and compiled a list of their favorite neurodiversity-related reads. The resulting resource includes personal memoirs, non-fiction books, and fictional novels. You can use the key at the bottom to determine what type of neurodiversity each book connects to. The pointers by the book title will match one or more of the colors in the key.

If you’d like to share a great book that relates to neurodiversity, email claire.barnett@vanderbilt.edu with the title and author! If the book is fiction, feel free to share novels where the character’s neurodiversity is suspected rather than outright stated.
