Frist Center Partners with InclYOUsion Summit 2023; Sees 110,000 Participants on Livestream Over Three Days
On 20th – 23rd September 2023, the Frist Center partnered with Indian non-profit Kidskintha to conduct the first International Neurodiversity at Work conference. The conference, which the Frist Center also sponsored, saw 47 speakers across 8 time zones speak about neurodiversity in the workplace. Themes such as education, transitions to work, success strategies, and global initiatives for hiring were discussed over the three-day conference, with over 110,000 people tuning in to the livestream provided by Daily Hunt and the other conference platforms.
The conference was organized and chaired collaboratively by Devishobha Chandramouli, the founder and CEO of Kidskintha, and Jessica Schonhut-Stasik, the Program and Communications Coordinator for FCAI. Speaking of the conference, Schonhut-Stasik said: “I just couldn’t believe the success of the conference thanks to our media partner, Daily Hunt. To have so many people tune in for talks and panels in India alone shows just how important the topic of neurodiversity at work is and how engaged folks are in improving the workplace and incorporating neuroinclusion!
I look forward to working on an in-person conference in 2024! Chandramouli echoed Schonhut-Stasik’s enthusiasm: “The conference was more successful than we could have hoped, garnering a whopping 110K live views, thanks to our partners, speakers, and, of course, the participants. It was a full three days of wonderful conversation and collaboration across the globe, and I hope to continue partnering with the Frist Center to carry our message even further!”
Speakers from the Frist Center included Director Keivan Stassun, Associate Director Dave Caudel, Deputy Director Tim Vogus, and Jessica Schonhut-Stasik. The keynote address was delivered by Lawrence Fung of Stanford University, and other notable speakers from both the US and India took part, including speakers from FCAI partners Mentra and Floreo.
FCAI and Kidskintha would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the sponsors of the conference: Wells Fargo, Alliance Insurance, and EXIM Bank; the outreach partners, Action for Autism, OneIndia, True Literacy, Josh, and Specialisterne, as well as our media partner, Daily Hunt.
In the coming days, recorded talks by Frist Center staff will be available on the Frist Center YouTube channel. For those who wish to watch further talks, many are already accessible through the Kidskintha Youtube channel, and a whole swath of resources and talks are available indefinitely from the InclYOUsion Summit website.
