Frist Center featured at Precisionists CEO Luncheon
The Precisionists, Inc. (TPI) have a unique goal: to create 10,000 jobs for people with disabilities by the year 2025. The company is a national leader in the disability employment space, and a partner of the Frist Center for Autism and Innovation. In Nashville, TPI has worked closely with the Frist Center to help autistic job-seekers find an employment match.
To promote and reach their ambitious goal, TPI held a luncheon on Wednesday, Aug. 28 at the Maggiano’s on West End. Business leaders from around Nashville were invited to learn about how TPI facilitates disability employment.
The Frist Center was featured at the event, with Director Keivan Stassun giving the keynote speech. Stassun presented the Nashville Model and explained the benefits of neurodiversity in the workplace.
Then, Associate Director Dave Caudel participated in the panel, which consisted of representatives from organizations which currently employ people with developmental disabilities. As a self-advocate and an employer, Caudel was able to shed light on both the challenges that autistic people face when they try to join the workforce and the ways that employers can provide appropriate accommodations.
Frist Center benefactors Billy and Jennifer Frist were also in attendance, chatting with fellow business leaders. The duo expressed excitement about the future of neurodiversity employment in Nashville.
Their optimism was contagious. Upon the conclusion of the luncheon, several of the business leaders in attendance asked to receive further information about partnering with TPI and the Frist Center in the future. If you own, lead, or work for a business with an interest in employing neurodivergent talent, please reach out to us at the Frist Center or our associates at TPI.
