College Autism Summit Returning to Vanderbilt University October 18-20 2023
We are so proud to be the home of the College Autism Network and so happy to announce the return of the College Autism Summit to the Student Life Center at Vanderbilt University from October 18-20.
In just two and a half weeks, we will join scholars, practitioners, administrators, employers, and self-advocates to discuss evidence-driven strategies that help support college students with autism and related learning differences.
There will be a pre-conference workshop on building or improving a program, 30 general sessions, and incredible speakers, with our keynote address being delivered by Russell Lehmann, an award-winning and internationally recognized thought leader, speaker, poet, and advocate who contextualizes autism, mental health, and disabilities. He has been featured in USA Today, LA Times, NPR, Yahoo! News, and Success Magazine, and his work has been archived in the Library of Congress.
Other sessions this year include ‘Rectifying Autistic Disablement in the College-to-Career System,’ ‘(Neuro)diversity Education Through Service-Learning and Self-Advocacy,’ and ‘The Intersection of Participatory Methods and Universal Design for University-Wide Inclusivity Initiatives.’
