Upcoming Autistics’ Roundtable Webinar: Entrepreneurship as an option for autistic adults

Screen Shot 2020-08-06 at 2.15.04 PMJoin the Frist Center for Autism and Innovation on Thursday, Aug. 13 from 2pm to 3pm (central time) for the second installment of the new “Autistics’ Roundtable Webinar.” This month’s topic is how self-employment and entrepreneurship can be successful options for adults on the spectrum.

The featured speaker will be Dr. Somnath Sengupta, founder of Every Life Works and the parent of an autistic adult. After Sengupta’s presentation, Frist Center Communications Coordinator and autism self-advocate Claire Barnett will moderate a panel discussion.

Panelists will be Sengupta, Autism Possible founder Dr. Teresa Vasquez, self-advocate & Nashville Entrepreneur Center (NEC) member Dan Burger, and NEC Vice President of Inclusion Brynn Plummer. The group will answer questions posed by the moderator, then the virtual audience.

Anyone with an interest in the topic is invited to attend; this includes autistic people, researchers, doctors, therapists, family members, business leaders and more. The webinar will be recorded and uploaded to the Frist Center Youtube. The zoom link is https://vanderbilt.zoom.us/j/99139492811.
