Program Schedule
Regular Hours
- School hours are 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday-Friday year round.
- Sign-in between 7:30 AM and 10:00 AM (exceptions will be made for pediatric appointments with note and for rare emergencies).
- Well-child checks occur at sign-in (see symptoms that exclude children from school in the Parent Handbook).
Closures
- Closed for holidays observed by Vanderbilt University unless otherwise indicated in the Family Handbook.
The Acorn School will be closed for six staff in-service days annually as outlined on the school calendar.
The Acorn School may be closed on designated chancellor days, including due to inclement weather and on days identified by public health agencies as necessary to manage the spread of infectious disease.
There is no tuition proration for dates of facility closure or child absences.
