Meiler Lab

ACCRE would like to thank the Meiler Lab for their recent investment, which added 1,280 cores to ACCRE’s community-built and owned compute cluster. This upgrade will allow us to retire two full racks of aging nodes—some over 13 years old—dramatically improving efficiency. By phasing out lower core-count nodes, we can significantly reduced power consumption and cooling demands, advancing both computational performance and campus sustainability.

The Meiler Lab, led by Dr. Jens Meiler, is at the forefront of groundbreaking research. Recently, they were awarded up to $46 million in funding from ARPA-H to develop a “super-vaccine” designed to protect against all alphaviruses, including serious pathogens like Chikungunya and Eastern Equine Encephalitis. This collaborative effort spans eight institutions and leverages cutting-edge computational modeling, AI-driven predictions, and structural biology to revolutionize vaccine design. We are so grateful they have chosen ACCRE as their home for computation!

We are proud to support research initiatives like this that drive innovation and global health improvements.
