We committed the crime against ourselves, we stole Reality from ourselves.

We couldn't bear not knowing what the fixed Reality was, so we created technology to answer our questions. We got our answer -- there is no fixed Reality -- but we couldn't bear that either.

Unintentionally, we created what we thought was Reality, and then realized it's an illusion because it is a human construct. Now, so that we don't have to think about it, we let science and technology take over.
