We’re losing our sense of other, and therefore, our sense of self.
As a result of our want for answers and explanations, we define all of our concepts in comparable terms, when these concepts are simply (and complexly) incomparable. In so doing, they become merely different, when they are actually other. So we lose any sense of otherness, and of ourselves.
Further, this loss applies to the concept of a fixed Reality. Once we're able to define Reality on our terms with our technology, we realize it is our construct – we steal Reality from ourselves. We have mastered the mystery behind Reality, and in so doing, we have become the masters of an illusion, of nothing. New technology proliferates the emptiness of distinction, difference, and reality.
