International Travel Registration
Vanderbilt has contracted with International SOS to provide travel assistance and evacuation services for all students, faculty and staff members traveling internationally on Vanderbilt related business. Read a summary of services here.
Prior to embarking on an international trip, all VU travelers should complete the Personal Traveler Locator on the portal. This ensures coverage and provides the contact information needed by ISOS and Vanderbilt to locate the traveler in the event of a crisis or emergency.
All undergraduate and graduate students traveling to a country currently under a U.S. State Department travel warning must contact VIO, as your trip will need prior approval from the Study Abroad Risk Assessment Committee (SARAC). SARAC is responsible for authorizing an education or service abroad opportunity that is sponsored by the University or involves University programs when there are significant health or safety concerns. These concerns include but are not limited to U.S. State Department travel warnings, travel warnings from governmental health organizations, natural disasters, and on-site reports.
The Occupational Health Clinic provides some of the recommended vaccinations free of charge to Vanderbilt employees who are traveling on Vanderbilt business. Please contact the OHC for more information--615-936-0955.
The Vanderbilt Travel Portal has helpful information regarding accommodation and travel logistics.
