Swim Lessons

 

VRWC Swim Lessons

Spring 2018 Group Lessons:

  • $180/per session - a session includes 8, 30 or 50-minute lessons
  • Lessons occur 2 days a week and are 30 or 50 minutes in length (Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs)
  • Fridays are reserved for makeup lessons in case of inclement weather
  • Classes led by a Red Cross Certified Water Safety Instructor (WSI)

Group Swim Lessons Available:

Registration Begins February 5, 2018

Monday/Wednesday March 19, 2018 - April 18, 2018 (2 lessons per week for 4 weeks)

4:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.  Parent and Child Aquatics: ages 6 mos. – 3 years (30 minute class)

4:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.  Pre-School Level 1 ages 3-5 yrs. (30 minute class)

5:00 p.m. – 5:50 p.m.  Level 1: ages 4 and up

6:00 p.m. – 6:50 p.m. Level 2: ages 6 yrs. and up (Requires successful completion of Level 1 exit skills)

 

Tuesdays/Thursdays: March 20 , 2018 – April 18, 2018 (2 sessions per week for 4 weeks)

4:00 p.m. – 4:50 p.m.   Level 1: ages 4 and up

5:00 p.m. – 5:50 p.m.  Level 2: ages 6 yrs. and up (Requires successful completion of Level 1 exit skills)

6:00 – 6:30p.m. Parent & Child: ages 6 mos. – 3 yrs. (30 minute class)

6:30 – 7:00 p.m. Pre-School Level 1 ages 3-5 yrs. (30 minute class)

Registration for lessons requires each participant to have a Rec account:

  • If you are a student/Rec member, you already have an account and you can log-in to register for the class under the Aquatics listing
  •  If you are not a VU student or member, please create an account at https://rec.vanderbilt.edu/Account/Register by selecting the “Sign Up” button. Once you have created an account, you will be able to register for the course.
  • If you are registering on behalf of a minor, the dependent must be linked to the parent/guardian’s profile. Questions, please refer to the following “how to” guide: How to Add a Family Member to your Profile Online.


**Fridays are makeup days in the case of inclement weather and pool closures.


Private and Semi-Private Swim Lessons:

**Due to instructor availability, Saturday and Sunday Private/Semi-Private lessons are not available January 2018.

Private Lessons:

Private lessons are 30 minute lessons, one on one with an instructor. Lessons may be scheduled at any time the pool is open, with the exception of Mondays – Thursdays 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. When online registrations are received by the Vanderbilt Swim School office, lessons will be scheduled.

Registration for the lesson requires each participant to have a Rec account:

Semi-Private lessons are 30 minute lessons with 2 children and an instructor. Lessons may be scheduled any time the pool is open, with the exception of Mondays – Thursdays 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. When online registrations are received by the Vanderbilt Swim School office, lessons will be scheduled.
