Federal Limited Submission Funding Opportunities
Limited Submission opportunities are funding opportunities that place a limit on the number or types of applications Vanderbilt can submit; the restrictions are detailed in the program announcement. The Office of Research facilitates review and selection of institutional applicants to these funding opportunities. Announcements for selected new limited funding opportunities are regularly posted in MyVUMC
General Guidelines for Federal Limited Submission Funding Opportunities.
All applicants for federal limited submission funding opportunities should notify the Office of Research of their intention to apply. An internal proposal should be submitted; if necessary a faculty review committee will select the institutional applicant(s). Unless otherwise specified, internal proposals should include the following:
- Faculty PI/PD(s)
- Tentative title of the intended proposal
- Names of other key faculty, departments expected to participate
- A brief (1 page maximum) summary of the scope and content of the program.
If you are unsure whether the grant you wish to apply for is a limited submission funding opportunity, contact Susan Meyn in OOR for assistance.
